Craft Classes with Stephanie

Hi Friends!!

I offer classes on zoom to teach an array of basic crafting techniques and machine familiarization. I can show you the basics of how to sew by hand or by machine. I can show you how to use your embroidery machine or your cutting machine to get started. I teach embroidery digitizing using SewArt software and give classes for the Brother ScanNCut Machine (much like a Cricut or a Silhouette). I also have knowledge in acrylic pour painting, decoupage, wreath making, and stop motion animation. I have a youtube channel and can help you get yours started, and I work at a wholesale plant nursery and also have a micro flower farm so I have lots of things that I can help you with!

If you do not have Zoom, please download it and have it ready for class. Please orient yourself with Zoom by calling a loved one to make sure it works before class starts.

If you would like to have a recording of this session, please select that option on your computer in Zoom and it will save when the class is over.

Cost of this class is: $15 per Hour 2 Hour Max

All times are based on Pacific Standard Time.

Live SewArt Class with Stephanie DeWolfe on Zoom

I'm so excited to be able to offer LIVE SewArt Classes through Zoom!!!

This class is a SewArt Basics for Beginners Class on Zoom. I am offering Group classes at this time but will be offering private classes very soon!!

Once payment has been received, I will contact you via email a few hours before class starts to give you the graphic we are going to use in class and the link for the Zoom Meeting as well as a few more links to helpful resources.

In this class we will go over basic fill stitch, outline border, cross stitch, variable width satin stitch and applique using SVG graphic and font. It will take roughly 1 hour with a little time afterwards to answer questions.

You will need the full version of SewArt to digitize the files I send but it's not required for the class. If you do not have the demo, please go to www.sandscomputing.com and download the SewArt Demo.

If you do not have Zoom, please download it and have it ready for class.

This is not a "digitize along" class but you will receive a link to where you can review your class in a private Youtube video in a follow up email after class is over.

Cost of this class is: $10

Cutaway Stabilizer Hack Comparison Sheet

Pellon from Amazon – 10yd bolt for $21.77 = $2.18 per yard (rounded up)

Pellon from Joann – On bolt for cutting – $2.39 per yard (you can usually find coupons to help with this cost)

Scott’s Weedout Landscape Fabric at Home Depot – 15 yds for $9.26 = $.62 per yard

Olyfun and Landscape Fabric are made of 100% polypropylene and the Pellon Cutaway is made with 100% Nylon.

Use the Olyfun and Landscape fabric on items that do not need to be washed or ironed. They can survive the wash but not the high heat of the dryer or an iron. Use Pellon (or similar cutaway stabilizer from another brand) for everything else since it is meant for garments.
